Democracy! most favorite word of the West. A word that has emerged as a synonym of Peace , Justice , Equality, good governance etc. But in many third world countries including Pakistan democracy’s all main ingredients are missing. Do we really know the meaning of democracy do we really value democracy? Or we are just interested in a system of governance in which state lets every one live the way they want.Is true democracy possible without free and fair elections? Then why we are fooling ourselves. If we can not ensure free and fair elections then how can we expect to get a representative government in the country.
